Pictures #1

I’m in bed in Paris. A few pictures for you:

Anita and Lili on our last night in Malaga. My first night in Madrid, dinner at the Plaza Major. Not supposed to take pix in the Prado but this inlaid tabletop was so extraordinarily beautiful and no one was around so I whipped out my phone. That’s just one part of the table. So much work!

Christopher and Cristina laying out our picnic in Retiro Park. Me with Cristina and Marina. The Thyssen: photos allowed so I took a few. St. Matthew the Evangelist from 1478 – he’s sharpening his quill while a bored angel watches. I didn’t note this artist, I just thought that was the weirdest baby Jesus ever, no? Egon Schiele, Houses, 1914, something about this I just love. I took more art shots, but will limit myself. There’s more pix to come.
