calm after the storm

Rushed out yesterday morning to rescue my trees, some bent right to the ground with heavy snow. But later that day it was sunny and warm, and today even more so — six degrees with blazing sun. Giant piles of melting snow.

Tigs are I are here in my south-facing office. She has the best spot but mine isn’t bad.

Spent yesterday battling Rogers, let’s not talk about it. So incompetent and infuriating. I know — first world problems.

Hard to believe that on this tranquil day, people in Bakhmut are fighting a monster for survival. There are monsters all around us. I hope my grandsons are playing in the snow and unaware, yet. They’ll know soon enough.

But for us, for now – sunshine.
