Macca sings the blues

This is an animated film that accompanies Paul’s song Call me back again. I think it’s about Paul’s mother who died when he was 13, though a romantic entanglement is suggested. But there are shots of his childhood throughout, the phone number is actually the McCartney family number when Paul was a boy, and his voice is haunted, raw and torn. The artwork is by Thomas Hicks.

Beautiful.

And here is a fantastic jam session he did with blues artists and Johnny Depp, full of joy. The man is 72. Be inspired. Onward.
