My new book “Midlife Solo” is now available.

Bienvenida en Mexico

It was when I saw the well-dressed young man walking along a packed city street, with a miniature pig in a red overcoat trotting on a leash behind him, that I knew I wasn’t in Toronto any more. Or Kansas. Welcome to Mexico City.

Can’t write now, as it’s late and I’m dazed. Modern travel, who can get used to it – you start the day at home, zip some three thousand miles in a few hours, and there you are on another planet. Annie was there to meet me, thank the lord, as the entry into this crowded, noisy, marvellous country is overwhelming.

More anon, mis amigos.
